Celebrating Tony Buchanan's Retirement: A Tribute to a Dedicated Employee & Beloved Colleague

January 11, 2023 - Today, we celebrate the retirement of Tony Buchannan, a dedicated employee, and beloved colleague.

Tony Buchanan has been a valuable asset to Ross & Yerger for 35 years, specializing in the Financial Institutions division and consumer lending.

Throughout his career, Tony has consistently demonstrated his dedication to clients, going above and beyond to ensure their needs are met.

In recognizing Tony in his retirement, his co-workers and friends had this to say:

Travis Clayton added, "Tony’s favorite poem, 'If' by Rudyard Kipling, contains an excerpt that I think is perfect for Tony."

"If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings,

And never breathe a word about your loss:

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!"

One thing that comes across strongly from talking to Tony's co-workers and friends is his commitment to his clients. Indeed, they loved him, and he loved them. His colleagues have praised Tony for his intelligence, strong work ethic, and ability to build and maintain relationships.

Tony, your colleagues will miss your laugh and positive attitude, but they'll always be grateful for your lasting impact on this agency and our clients.

Thank you for your longstanding and continued commitment to Ross & Yerger!

Upon retiring, Tony looks forward to supporting the Mississippi State Bulldogs, spending time with family, and traveling.
