How did you end up at R&Y?
I grew up in the same church as our CEO, Dudley, and always thought that he was a guy that had it all figured out. He and I first met about insurance careers back in 2010 and Scott Moak and I had our first meeting back in 2013. Fast forward to 2018 and 100 or more check-in emails later, the timing has finally worked out. I guess you could say persistence paid off.
What do you like most about R&Y?
We are 100% employee-owned.
Organizations & Community Activities: First United Methodist Church – Tupelo, Tupelo Country Club Tennis Association, United States Tennis Association, University of Mississippi Alumni Association
Family: Married to my beautiful and multi-talented wife, Maggie, and we have 2 boys, Dotson and Ro.
Who do you admire most?
My late grandfather, Homer Best, Jr., who taught me that it isn’t just about how hard you work, but how you treat others in the process.
“If you lack optimism, the game is over before it even begins. Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
What are your hobbies:
Spending quality time with my family, music, tennis, Ole Miss athletics and travel.
